WHO IS AN ALUMNI
Alumni: Former students who have successfully completed at least a year of study in any of the degree/diploma/certificate programmes approved by the Senate and are not enrolled at the University; or a retired academic who is not a graduate of UMP, who has worked at UMP for at least a period of five (5) years; or an exchange student and any person/s who has/have been accepted lawfully as alumni.
The first Alumni meeting took place on 2 December 2017 at Mbombela Campus.

- Administer the affairs of the Chapter.
- Administer such funds as may be allocated to it from time to time by the University.
- Implement the convocation and Alumni Strategic Plan as agreed in the Chapter General Meeting.
- Engage in fundraising for student bursaries, and University infrastructure in line
