The Engagement Excellence Awards are considered as an important mechanism to achieve the institution’s engaged vision, strategic goals and objectives and to give recognition and reward for excellence in the performance of this core function. These awards promote, recognise and reward excellence in engagement; promote the integration of teaching and learning, research and engagement; encourage excellence in engagement and an academic / scholarship based model for engagement amongst emerging and established academics and support staff and; encourage research in engagement and engaged research.
 

Engagement Excellence Award Categories

  • UMP Engagement Excellence Award

  • This prestigious award aims to recognise and reward an individual who excels in integrating teaching and learning, research and scholarship, and engagement; demonstrates excellence in engagement at an institutional level; made an outstanding contribution towards advancing engagement as one of the core functions of the institution; is able to provide leadership and examples of best practice in the field of engagement.
  • UMP Engagement Excellence Team Award

  • This award aims to recognise and reward teams who show evidence of integrating engagement into teaching and learning and research and scholarship; have made outstanding contributions to advancing the UMP’s engagement strategic priorities and goals over a sustained period of time and are able to provide examples of best practice in the field of engagement.
  • UMP Emerging Engagement Award

  • This award aims to recognise and reward an individual for emerging excellence in engagement; who has in the early stages of her/his career demonstrated the potential to provide leadership and develop best practices in the field of engagement.
