The Vice Chancellor attended the Annual Commemoration of the Kingdom of AmaNdebele as a Guest of Honour on 7 March 2020. She was invited by His Majesty, King Makhosoke 11 for the 40th commemoration of King SILAMBA.
The function took place at KOMJEKEJEKE, the place of jubilation. It was attended by a number of Kings representing own Kingdoms stretching as far as the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC); Mozambique; Zimbabwe and Lesotho.
South African Kings represented their Kingdoms as well in this distinguished ceremony. The University of Mpumalanga and the Kingdom of AmaNdebele recently signed the Memorandum of Understanding and areas of collaboration are identified.
