UMP HONOURS ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE

The University of Mpumalanga (UMP) recently honoured its top-performing students for 2023 in a ceremony held at the Mbombela campus.



CELEBRATING AFRICAN DIVERSITY

The University of Mpumalanga (UMP) joined the African Continent and the global community to commemorate and celebrate Africa Day under the theme Celebrating Diversity: Showcasing our Africanness.



TOP STUDENT SETS THE BAR HIGH

University of Mpumalanga (UMP) student, Sethembiso Masuku, has been honoured with the Best Initial (First) Diploma Award for her outstanding performance in the Diploma in Animal Production. Masuku graduated Cum Laude with an average of 84% and attained 22 distinctions.



PhD CANDIDATE PASSES WITH DISTINCTIONS

University of Mpumalanga (UMP) PhD candidate, Ronald Mashamba, recently graduated Cum Laude with a Master of Science Degree. Achieving an impressive 80%, Mashamba’s journey is a testament to his dedication and hard work, reflecting both his personal and academic growth.



UMP GRADUATE TRIUMPHS DESPITE CHALLENGES

University of Mpumalanga (UMP) student, Patricia Peterson, graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Education in Foundation Phase Teaching and received the prestigious Best Initial (First) Degree Award. Peterson achieved an average mark of 77% and earned 21 distinctions over her four years of study.



GRADUATING AT UMP: HOME AWAY FROM HOME

International student Josette Kalonji Mbuyamba has defied the challenges of studying in an institution outside her home country. The Congolese-born graduate, with a Diploma in Information Communication Technology from the University of Mpumalanga.



FIRST BCOM COHORT OBTAINS MASTER'S CUM LAUDE

University of Mpumalanga (UMP) student, Xhantilomzi Nkamba who is among the first cohorts of the Bachelor of Commerce, recently graduated Cum Laude for his Master in Economics.



2023 BEST GRADUATE AIMS TO INSPIRE OTHERS

University of Mpumalanga's (UMP) top student of the 2023 class, Tshepiso Kekana, has distinguished herself with remarkable academic achievements, graduating with an average mark of 87% and accumulating 26 distinctions. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate Degree.



ENACTUS PRESIDENT MAKES FAMILY HISTORY

University of Mpumalanga (UMP) ENACTUS President, Bongumusa Nkabinde, has become the first person in his family to graduate.



PERSEVERANCE PAYS OFF FOR UMP GRADUATE

Bachelor of Science in Agriculture student at the University of Mpumalanga (UMP), Angel Pinky Nkambule, has graduated Cum Laude, showing that hard work and determination have fruitful results.
