VICE-CHANCELLOR SHARES MESSAGE OF GRATITUDE AND ENCOURAGEMENT TO OUTGOING SRC/CRC

The University of Mpumalanga bid farewell to the 2020 SRC/CRC leadership at a glorious affair where COVID-19 Safety Regulations were observed. The Vice-Chancellor Professor Thoko Mayekiso commended the student leadership for pulling through at a time when the county was in despair as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic that swept through the world.

University of Mpumalanga (UMP) Geography and Nature Conservation lecturer Dr Julia Giddy recently received the 2021 Society of South African Geographers (SSAG) Centenary Award.

UMP ALUMNUS SECURES BIG AGRICULTURE PROJECT

University of Mpumalanga (UMP) alumnus Ratau Tjale is making strides in the business world. His company, Bokamoso Global Solutions, has been awarded a two-year contract by the Department of Agriculture, Rural Development, Land and Environmental Affairs (DARDLEA) to train and offer mentorship to land reform beneficiaries in Mpumalanga Province.



PROFESSOR MLAMBO RECEIVES NRF RATING

University of Mpumalanga (UMP) programme leader from the Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Sciences, Professor Victor Mlambo has received a C1 rating (2021-2026) from the National Research Foundation (NRF) for his research under the theme: Nutritional Strategies for Economically, Environmentally and Socially Sustainable Animal Agriculture.



DOMESTIC TOURISM CAN SAVE STRUGGLING INDUSTRY

The University of Mpumalanga (UMP) Heritage and Tourism lecturer Dr Precious Shabalala participated in the 2021 Mathematics in Industry Study Group (MISG), where she collaboratively worked with mathematicians, scholars and students on research problems.
