Prof AA Agbor

Prof Agbor is a Professor of Law in the Faculty of Economic, Development and Business Sciences. His research is located in the broader field of Public International Law, with a focus on International Human Rights Law; International Criminal Law and Justice; Human Rights Law; Criminal Law; and governance issues in Africa.  He holds a doctorate in Law from the University of the Witwatersrand (2012). Prior to that, he earned an LLM in International Human Rights Law from the University of Notre Dame, United States (2006). His appointment as a Research and Teaching Associate at the University of Witwatersrand was followed by an appointment at the University of Venda as a Lecturer (2013-2014); Senior Lecturer at North-West University (2014-2016); and Research Professor from 2016 to April 2025.
